Welcome to David Schneider Tai Chi

About David

David Schneider has lived in Hong Kong with his family for the past 25 years, immersing himself in the city’s living martial arts culture while sharing the benefits of mindful movement worldwide. His martial arts path began in 1970 at age 15 in Yonkers, New York, with Kempo Karate. In 1974 he moved to Vermont to study Uechi-Ryu Karate under Bob Boyd in Burlington, Vermont, earning a black belt before Boyd urged him to study Tai Chi in Boston’s Chinatown with  Master Gin Soon Chu. David’s first exposure to Yang-style Tai Chi came through Master Chu Gin Soon, after which he returned to Boyd’s school from 1984 to 2000. In 2000 he relocated to Hong Kong, met students of Master Ip Tai Tak, and chose to remain in Asia to deepen his practice.

In 2003 David founded Wavingclouds Production Ltd., a Hong Kong limited company that contracted 35 Beijing martial artists, a Hong Kong  wire team, a Face Changer, and respected Hong Kong Tai Chi Chuan teachers and Kung Fu masters for education seminars, multimedia events, and cultural performances.
